Description
Understated luxury and elegance are the name of the game with the Palas #001 Necklace.
The short, choker length necklace features a glorious, ever-so-slightly off-round silver peacock Tahitian pearl paired with similarly off-round beads of scoria lava from sacred Mt. Agung in Bali strung on hand-knotted pure silk and finished with a pavé diamond oxidised sterling silver clasp from India.
The beautiful pearl is from the famous Robert Wan pearl farms in Tahiti. It has a couple of tiny blemishes but these do not detract at all from its beauty. The lava stone or scoria—yes, the same stuff that’s used in landscaping—is from the sacred volcano, Gunung Agung in Bali – Bali’s highest peak and the home of the gods. I’ve carefully knotted these on pure black silk and finished the ends with palladium plated sterling silver for a bit of contrast and to reflect the pearl. The pavé clasp provides the final flourish.
Note: This necklace has been restrung with a new, more secure finish to the clasp.
Length: 16.5 inches/42 cm.
