Seraglio Designs understands that you care about how your personal information is used and
shared online, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. This
notice describes our Privacy Policy. By visiting Seraglio Designs’ online store, you are
accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.
What Personal Information About Customers Does Seraglio Designs gather?
Personal data provided to Seraglio Designs will be used only for the purposes of completing
your order.
Credit Card Payment Security:
Your payment details have the security offered by PayPal, a fully AIS PCI DSS Level 1
Service Provider, using 128-bit SSL encryption. Credit Card details will be sent directly to
the acquiring institution for processing. No card data is available to, or used by, the merchant.
You will be issued with a receipt number at the end of your transaction.
Information You Give Us:
We receive and store any data you enter on our web site or give us in any other way. You can
choose not to provide certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage
of many of our features. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as
responding to your requests, customising future shopping for you, improving our store, and
communicating with you.
Automatic Information:
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. For
example, like many web sites we use “cookies” – text files with small pieces of data such as
username and password – whenever your web browser accesses Seraglio Designs’ web site.
A number of companies offer utilities designed to help you visit web sites anonymously;
however, we will not be able to provide you with a personalised experience at Seraglio
Designs if we cannot recognise you. Nevertheless, we want you to be aware that such tools
exist.
What About Cookies?
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through
your web browser to enable our systems to recognise your browser and to provide features
such as Automatic Login and permanent Shopping Carts for storage of items in your Cart
between visits. If you would like to know more, the “Help” section on the toolbar of most
browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies; how to have
the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether.
However, cookies do allow you to take full advantage of some of Seraglio Designs’ best
features, and we recommend that you leave them turned on.
E-mail Communications:
To help us make e-mails more useful and interesting, we often receive confirmation when
you open an e-mail from Seraglio Designs if your computer supports such capabilities. If you
do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please adjust your account to reflect this
by selecting “Unsubscribe” in the Newsletter menu.
Does Seraglio Designs Share the Information It Receives?
Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and we are not in the
business of selling it to others. We share customer information only with the agents utilised
by Seraglio Designs as described below.
Agents:
We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples
may include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing
repetitive information from customer lists, analysing data, providing marketing assistance,
processing Credit Card payments, and providing customer service. They have access to
personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.
Protection of Seraglio Designs and Others:
We will release account and other personal information when we believe release is
appropriate to comply with law, to enforce or apply our Conditions of Use and other
agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Seraglio Designs, our users, or
others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for
fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
